World Voices Emergency Assistance Fund (WEAF)
Because even the most established voice actors can hit an unexpected setback.
The Emergency Assistance Fund from World-Voices Organization is here to help members get back up and running when something disrupts their ability to work.
We’ve Got Each Other
This fund is built on a simple idea:
voice actors helping voice actors.
When something unexpected happens—a studio goes down, a storm hits, life throws a curveball—it can interrupt not just your day, but your livelihood.
The Emergency Assistance Fund is designed to help you recover quickly and keep your business moving forward.
This isn’t a general hardship fund.
It’s a professional support system—focused specifically on helping working voice actors stay active, reliable, and ready for the next job.

What This Fund Can Help With
Getting You Back to Work
Support is available for situations like:
- Replacing or repairing essential studio equipment
- Recovering from storm or disaster-related damage
- Temporary studio relocation
- Internet or power disruptions affecting your setup
When Life Interrupts Work
We also understand that sometimes life events affect your ability to work. In certain cases, support may be considered when those situations directly impact your voiceover business.
The key question we ask is:
Will this help you get back to work?
What It Does Not Cover
The Fund is not intended to provide ongoing financial support or replace income. Awards are designed to address specific, short-term professional disruptions. To keep the fund focused and sustainable, it does not cover:
- Everyday living expenses
- Ongoing financial challenges
- Medical bills not tied to your ability to work
- Business upgrades or non-essential purchases
Who Can Apply
You may be eligible if you:
- Are a member in good standing of World-Voices Organization for a minimum six (6) months
- Have experienced a recent, unexpected hardship
- Can show how it’s affecting your ability to work as a voice actor
How It Works
We’ve kept the process simple and respectful:
- Fill out a short, confidential application
- A small committee reviews your request
- Decisions are typically made within 7–10 days
- If approved, funds are distributed quickly
No red tape. No unnecessary hurdles.
Funding Basics
- Typical support ranges from $250 to $1,000
- One request per member per 12 months
- Funds are limited, so not every request can be approved
- Applications may be temporarily paused if annual funding allocation has been exhausted.
Your Privacy Matters
We take confidentiality seriously.
- Your application stays private
