Membership Application

Application Process:

Please carefully read the following instructions prior to completing the online application.
All applicants agreeing to abide by our 
Best Practices are accepted.
The yearly membership dues are $99 (USD).

STEP 1: Application - Complete the application form located at the bottom of this page. The information you provide on your application will initially determine your level of membership. Membership levels are either Professional, Associate, or Industry Partner (see more info below). If the Membership Committee determines that you are better suited for a different level, we will let you know.

Once you reach the "Review and confirm" screen in the application process, your data has been saved and can be accessed using the email address you entered in the application; then select your payment option. 

STEP 2: Payment - Once you have completed your application, click "Pay Online" to complete payment and avoid any delays in processing your application. Your payment is required prior to processing your application. We use PayPal.  You are not required to have a PayPal account.  You will have the option to pay with a credit card or use your existing PayPal account.  Not sure of PayPal?  

STEP 3: Confirmation - Once your application and yearly membership dues have been received, you will receive a confirmation email. Please be advised that unpaid applications will be deleted after 3 days.

STEP 4: Vetting Process - Our Membership Committee will be vetting your application and sending information to the Executive Board, which can take a few days. We thank you for your patience. Once your membership candidacy is accepted, you will be notified by email.

Membership Levels:

Professional Level: To qualify at the Professional level, please list in your application at least 5 distinct clients in the previous 13 months where the rate paid was at or near standard professional rates for the type of work. The Membership Committee will assess the information provided. 

You may use the SAG-AFTRA rate sheet, GVAA rate sheet, or other industry resources for guidance on professional rates. We do not accept low-rate work (which includes royalty-share for audiobooks) when considering the application for Professional level membership.

Associate Level: If you have not completed 5 jobs for distinct clients in the previous 13 months as described above, you will automatically be welcomed as an Associate Member. You can then work toward achieving those prerequisites, and then apply to be upgraded to Professional status once you achieve them. Email when you are ready to updade to Professional level!

Industry Partners:  This level includes members of the voiceover industry who are not voice actors but who provide ancillary or support services to voice actors.
